My wife has headaches, mood swings, loss of libido and cannot sleep very well. Will a treatment help her if it is determined that she is in this state of menopause? She is 38 years old and I have notice a considerable change in the last year. I thought it might be our relationship having issues but, nothing I do or talk about seems to ease any of her stresses. Her cycles are irregular and her flow is also heavy at times. She has complained, saying her body feels like it is on fire. Is this a hot flash? She has gained weight and sex seems to cause her some pain and bleeding. HELP please!
I put this question in this section because I wanted answers from actual experiences. I will repost in health section later.
Junkman – The bullet proof vest is a good idea. We have six kids, sometimes the bullets are already flying when I get in the room! Duck and hide. You have described exactly what I deal with, even the week after period.

I wish she could sleep better. Sleeping pills are too addictive for her. She had to stop using them. She was not taking them as prescribed.

I think everyone in the family runs for cover when the mood is bad.

I help with everthing I can so, that is not the issue. It has to be a hormon issue.

Everyone walks on Eggshells…

Docs don’t really believe in the perimenopause thing, at least I find mine doesn’t. They say it’s PMS and hormonal imbalance. Her levels of hormones could just be overloading right now, I have had the same symptoms after I hemorraged when I lost my son and it worsened after I had my son 3 yrs ago. My hormones went outtta whack and I’ve found going on birth control helps to control a lot of these symptoms but also need a herbal drug to help curb the mood swings -Black Cohash. She needs to get out, exercise and eat healthy, no junk food and get plenty of sleep, even if she has to take a nighttime sleep aid.
